पञ्चतंत्र संस्कृतमा लेखिएका प्राचीन भारतवर्षीय (अहिलेको इंडिया, नेपाल, पाकिस्तान, अफगानिस्थान, बंगलादेश, भुटान, वर्मा हुँदै इन्डोनेसिया र कम्बोडिया सम्मनको भूभाग)  पशु कथाहरूको संग्रह हो। कथाहरू ज्ञान, नैतिकता, र नैतिक व्यवहारको बारेमा महत्त्वपूर्ण पाठहरू सिकाउने उद्देश्यले, जनावरहरूलाई मुख्य पात्रहरूको रूपमा प्रयोग गरेर विम्बको रुपमा चित्रण गरिएको छ। जनावरहरुमा बोल्ने बुझ्ने  सुझबुझको ज्ञान हुन्छ भन्ने पनि कथामा देखाइएको छ। आज वैज्ञानिक अनुसन्धानका विभिन्न परिक्षणले यी विषयमा थप पुष्टी गर्दै गएको छ।

पञ्चतन्त्रका सबैभन्दा प्रसिद्ध कथाहरूमा "सिंह र मुसा," "कछुवा र खरायो," र "काग र पिचर" समावेश छन्। प्रत्येक कथामा स्पष्ट नैतिक पाठ छ, जस्तै मित्रताको महत्त्व, कडा परिश्रमको मूल्य, वा लोभको खतरा आदि इत्यादि।

Panchatantra Stories

The Panchatantra is a collection of ancient Bharat Varsha's  (Present day India, Nepal, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Myanmar, Cambodia, Indonesia Thailand, Tibet and more..)  animal fables written in Sanskrit. The stories are intended to teach important lessons about wisdom, morality, and ethical behavior, using animals as the main characters to illustrate the points. It is also shown in the story that animals have the ability to speak and understand. Today, various tests of scientific research are further confirming these issues.

The most famous stories from the Panchatantra include "The Lion and the Mouse," "The Tortoise and the Hare," and "The Crow and the Pitcher." Each story has a clear moral lesson, such as the importance of friendship, the value of hard work, or the danger of greed.

The Panchatantra was originally written for the education of young princes, and it is still used as a teaching tool in many Indian schools today.
